Welcome to WellStim Technologies™
We help operators improve well performance and treatment execution efficiency through engineering tools and time‑tested workflows built on more than 35 years of upstream worldwide experience. Our work blends field experience with clear technical judgment to support better decisions and stronger outcomes. We keep solutions practical, data‑driven, and aligned with your operational goals. Whether you need targeted support or senior advisory insight, we deliver clarity and confidence without complexity or overstatement.
Well Stimulation Design
We design and model hydraulic fracturing treatments for conventional and unconventional reservoirs in onshore and offshore environments. Our experience covers conventional sandstone fracs, soft‑rock frac and pack , CBM fracturing, acid fracturing in limestone, and N â‚‚ or COâ‚‚ foam treatments and other speciality jobs.Â

Our Services
We support operators with focused engineering work that improves well performance and treatment execution. Each service is built on practical workflows and clear technical judgment.
Real Time Field Support
We provide real‑time support during hydraulic fracturing operations, either remotely or on location, upon client's reqiuest. Our experience with DFIT, MiniFrac, Step Rate and Step Down tests, and fluid QA/QC helps operators execute treatments with confidence.

Production Optimization
We help operators improve post‑treatment performance through flowback analysis, drawdown schemes, and early production trends. Our post‑job reviews highlight opportunities to reduce proppant flowback, stabilize early production, and support long‑term well performance. Each recommendation is tailored to the reservoir and treatment design.

TrainingÂ
We offer graduate‑level advanced training on hydraulic fracturing and acid fracturing design, theory, and practice. The 5‑day course covers reservoir engineering, fracture mechanics, geomechanics, well performance, economics, fluid/proppant/acidselection, schedule generation, diagnostics, and post‑treatment analysis. The training blends fundamentals with practical field insight.

WellStim Technologies® supports operators in US and overseas with focused engineering work across stimulation, reservoir evaluation, and production performance. These examples highlight the type of projects we deliver.

Recently Concluded:

Stimulation DesignÂ
We completed a stimulation design and review for a multi‑stage hydraulic fracturing program in a low permeability unconventional gas reservoir. The work included schedule refinement, fluid system evaluation, and placement guidance to support better execution and stronger well response. This was achieved with close collaboration with field personnel and quick implementation of procedures to address the areas that needed attention.Â

Field Execution Support
We provided real time support during a series of stimulation treatments in a mixed‑lithology asset. The work included monitoring diagnostics, guiding adjustments, and helping the team maintain safe and efficient operations.

Post‑Treatment Performance Analysis
We evaluated early production behavior for a set of recently stimulated wells for an overseas operator to assist in further fine-tuning treatment design. The review focused on flowback trends, drawdown strategy, and proppant stability to support improved performance and lower risk.

Reservoir Behavior Assessment
We completed a reservoir behavior assessment for a development area with variable geology. The work included pressure trend review, fracture response interpretation, and guidance for future stimulation plans.

Ongoing:

Tight Gas Conventional Reservoir Stimulation Design and Planning
We are currently supporting stimulation design and planning for low‑permeability gas wells in a new and geographically challenging development area. The work includes offset well production history and match analysis, building 3D geomechanical models, and generating fracture treatment designs to optimize placement and improve well performance.
Â
Hydraulic Fracturing Lookback Study
We are conducting a hydraulic fracturing lookback study on several unconventional wells for an overseas client. The work focuses on identifying key variables that contributed to improved well performance and developing next‑generation treatment designs to support continued optimization across the asset.

ABOUT US
WellStim Technologies™ is led by Vibhas J. Pandey, Ph.D., P.E., SPE, an independent senior technical advisor and industry‑recognized expert in hydraulic fracturing with more than three decades of international experience across nearly twenty basins worldwide. His work blends field operations, analytical design, and practical judgment shaped by long service in both onshore and offshore environments.

A licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Vibhas holds a PhD and two master’s degrees in engineering. Over his career he has authored numerous technical papers and book chapters, contributed to SPE Journal as an Associate Editor, and served on multiple SPE conference and workshop committees worldwide. He has taught more than twenty‑five well stimulation courses internationally, including full‑semester graduate‑level courses at major universities. He was an SPE Distinguished Lecturer in 2022–23 and currently serves on the JPT Editorial Review Board.

His technical experience includes design reviews, diagnostics, field execution support, and production performance assessments for operators in the U.S. and overseas. Clients value his ability to listen carefully, frame problems clearly, and develop solutions that fit the reservoir, the treatment plan, and the operator’s objectives.

WellStim Technologies™ reflects that approach: clear analysis, practical workflows, and steady senior insight when it matters most.
